About the Department


The Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing is one of five scientific departments at the College of Nursing at Northern Borders University, which was established in 1430 and includes an elite group of qualified scientific personnel responsible for teaching theoretical and practical courses and field training for all male and female students. The Department of Maternal and Child Health Nursing aspires to raise the level of professional nursing knowledge and experience and the skills of male and female students of the College of Nursing in caring for women and children using modern technology to achieve academic excellence, apply scientific research and serve society, and to remain on an equal footing with the global community. The department offers courses covering life development stages, nursing education principles, genetics in nursing, maternity nursing, pediatric nursing, and evidence-based research. Additionally, it emphasizes clinical training in skills laboratories, hospitals, and health centers, focusing on delivering exceptional community services and engaging in research endeavors.

 The maternal and child nursing department is committed to preparing nursing students scientifically and professionally to provide health care for women and children with different health issues through advanced education, scientific research, and community participation in order to compete in the competitive labor market.
